Straight

Three-of-a-kind
Three-of-a-kind is three similar cards of any suit. Three cards of same rank and two other cards, in addition. It is also known as Triplets or Trips. As you compare two or three of the same kind, the hand with three equal cards of higher rank is considered better.
Two Pairs
In two pairs, cards are of different ranks and an odd card is used to make the hand up for five cards. You compare hands with two pairs, the highest pair hand wins. This is irrespective of rank of other cards.
Pair
A pair is made of two cards of equal rank. It is a pair with two similar cards of any suit. You can get a hand with two cards of identical rank and three cards which do not match each other. As you compare two such hands, the hand with higher pair is always better.
High Card
While comparing two hands, one card with better highest card wins. Suppose highest card is same the second card is compared.
